LA County's African American Infant and Maternal Mortality

Project Joy is the co-backbone supporting agency for LA County’s AAIMM (African American Infant and Maternal Mortality) Prevention Initiative.

We coordinate ongoing community action team meetings in the Antelope Valley where public, private, and community members work together on strategies to support birthing justice.

Nonpartisan Voter Education

We provide nonpartisan voter education and awareness campaigns, as well as host candidate forums to empower communities of color to use their power during all election cycles.

Project Joy is an approved trusted messenger for the State of California. We translate State emergency campaigns into culturally affirming messages for the diverse community we service.

Health Advocate, Resource Hub and Wellness Service Provider

During the height of the 2020 COVID19 pandemic we participated in Let’s Feed LA (emergency grocery program).

Good Plus Foundation

We collaborate with Good Plus Foundation, who provides clothing and supplies to families in need by way of enrollment in our parenting classes.

Community Engagement

We host family-friendly events with food vendors, new clothing distribution, health education, free medical screenings and community resource fairs.

Backpack and school supplies to 100 foster youth and vulnerable families to support educational attainment (distribution at diaper event and SAGE Magnet Academy) – sponsor Big Sunday Org. Ongoing outreach and distribution during the global pandemic and recovery period are planned

Face Mask Distribution

Distributed over 200 mask to a area homeless shelters to promote the health and safety of vulnerable residents 

We provide virtual, hybrid, in-person learning events and workshops. (list of topics available). Large scale outreach event planning and execution to spread awareness of programs and services that align with our mission.
