Youth Program
Youth are our Focus and Future
In LA County 1:6 Youth are "Disconnected "from education and employment
After School Club
Our After School Club is for students in grades 1-4. Join us after school for
- homework help,
- academic skill building, and
- fun enrichment activities like Lego Robotics (hosted by Palmdale Aerospace Academy’s award-winning robotics team Griffyingear).
Youth Sports Camps
Our Youth Sports Camps are operated at various school sites and parks in the Antelope Valley.
We are advocates and part of the Play Equity movement sponsored by the LA84 Foundation. Sports clinics offered based on seasons are basketball, flag football, volleyball, soccer, and baseball. Open to youth ages 6-14.
Youth AI Learning Program
We provide education on the technical and ethical aspects of AI, while allowing youth ages 16-25 to explore various careers to see the likely impact of AI on their chosen career field. Youth build confidence, social skills, leadership, public speaking, mental health strategies and learn to collaborate. Each cohort ends with a pitch showcase where youth share their passion project and how AI can be used to benefit the community. Youth earn a stipend during this program which is sponsored by LA County Department of Mental Health.
Youth Employment Programs
Equity and Justice Advocacy
We provide a safe space and nurturing learning environment where youth are free to explore their feelings, range of emotions, step into leadership and work with mentors to focus their energy on creative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues. Our youth social justice group meets quarterly.
